Dr Duncan Foster spent his childhood near Loch Lomond, being schooled in Glasgow before completing his medical degree in Edinburgh 1989. He joined Glover St in 1996, and has been an active partner throughout many clinical and administrative developments. He has been a GP trainer for over 20 years, receiving his RCGP fellowship in 2012.
Whilst his rugby playing days are sadly over, he swims regularly, and can often be seen dog walking or e- biking on local hills.
Dr Elaine Matthews graduated from University of Dundee Medical School in 1997 and completed her GP training in Tayside and joined the practice in Glover Street as a partner in 2002. She is from Northern Ireland, but has lived in Scotland for the last 30 years, where she has raised her family who are now grown up.
She has been a GP Trainer for the past 15 yrs. She also represents the practice on the local Cluster group for Quality Improvement activities. She fits contraceptive coils and implants in the practice.
Outside work, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors, up and down hills, both walking and skiing, and always has space and time for family, friends and good food.
Dr James Riches completed his medical degree in Dundee in 2008 and then trained locally as a GP joining the partnership in 2015. He is responsible for diabetes and medical students attached to the practice. Prior to studying medicine, he worked as a physiotherapist for 7 years.
Away from work he is a keen hillwalker and enjoys watching football.
Dr McCallum attended Dundee Medical School and graduated in 2007. She then worked in various posts in NHS Tayside as part of her GP training. She completed GP training in 2012 and locumed throughout Tayside before joining the practice in 2017. She is particularly interested in Child Health.
Dr Christine Cormack completed her medical degree in Aberdeen in 1996 . After house jobs in Aberdeen she worked in Edinburgh where she completed GP training. She then moved to Perth in 2000 where she has worked in various roles within general practice, dermatology and as a tutor at the University of Dundee. She joined the team at Victoria practice in 2019.
She has an interest in sport, the hills and the outdoors.
Dr Lois Welsh grew up just outside Edinburgh & graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in 2012. She has been working in Tayside since that time & undertook her GP specialty training at Victoria Practice before joining as a partner in 2018. She became a GP trainer in 2022 & enjoys this opportunity to teach & mould future GPs.
She enjoys getting out into the fresh air for walking, running & time in the garden.
